<p>PURPOSE:To improve cost performance by flexibly determining the number of registers to be allocated to windows in accordance with the number of registers to be used for a procedure in a program CONSTITUTION:A microprocessor is constituted of R-FILE1 modules 101, 102, an R-FILE2 module 103, decoders(DECs) 104 to 106, a current window pointer(CWP) 107, a register(W-CC) 108, a current block pointer (CBP) 109, and substructors(INSAGs) 110 to 112. A working register to be used for each procedure is determined in accordance with the individual procedure in the program and the number of registers constituting the working register is determined. Consequently, the redundancy of the system is removed and the cost performance is improved.</p> |
