The office desk height-adjustable top is carried on a frame formed from two side uprights joined at their top by stringer bars, with the desk top support between and height-adjustably joined to the side uprights. The top end of each upright (8,9) is enclosed in a sleeve (18) fixed at its top to the underside of the desk top (1), pref. via a flange round the sleeve.
