PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce impact displacement at the time of ejecting ink droplets so as to improve the image quality. SOLUTION: An piezoelectric member wherein a plurality of ink pressure rooms 13, an orifice plate covering the end portions of each ink pressure room 13, with an orifice 16 formed corresponding to each ink pressure room 13, and a driving means for applying a voltage to the piezoelectric member so as to deform the wall of the ink pressure rooms are provided. A projecting part comprising a rigid member is formed in a non-deformable portion, wherein deformation is not generated by the driving means in the wall of the ink pressure rooms 13. The pressure in the ink pressure rooms 13 is heightened so as to accelerate the ink droplet ejecting speed without increasing the voltage or narrowing the width while keeping the change amount of the actual volume of the ink pressure rooms.
