PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device capable of holding the appearance of a clear line and text with optional re-sampling ratio. SOLUTION: Access is made to plural discrete sample values of image data and kernel values of each discrete sample value are calculated by using a scaled kernel by this method. The scaled kernel is constructed by converting the kernel from a first range into a second range. The kernel value is integrated by the discrete sample value to express the image data.
