<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil seal 205 for a crank shaft improved in installation in an engine and improved in sealing performance. <P>SOLUTION: A lower projecting part 13 of an oil seal retainer 10 is projected outside the engine 200 in comparison with a cylindrical fitting part 11 for holding an oil seal main body 20. The lower projecting part 13 can be thereby strongly fixed to an upper edge 202a of an oil pan 202 by welding Wd or a bolt and a nut, and fitting is facilitated, and sealing performance between the lower projecting part 13 and the oil pan 202 is improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
