The damper (1) in a pneumatic pressure system damps noise caused by pressure discharge flows from a pressure side to an atmosphere side. It comprises a housing (2) enclosing an expansion chamber with a pressure side inlet (6) for the discharge flow (16) and an opposing atmosphere side outlet (8). In the expansion chamber in the icinity of the inlet a damping component is arranged, made of porous material through which flow can occur. Additionally within the expansion chamber, between the damping component and the outlet (8) is an air filter. The damping component is a flat, disk-shaped body of foam, with a peripheral contour corresponding to the inner cross-section of the expansion chamber and is fixed to a disk-shaped fixation component.
|
