METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR VIDEO SEARCH USING CONVERGENCE OF GLOBAL FEATURE AND REGION FEATURE OF IMAGE

Disclosed are a method and system for searching for a video by using global features of a video and local features of a moving object in an integrated manner. The system for searching for a video comprises: a moving object detection unit which detects a region corresponding to movement of a person from a photographed video; a tracking unit which tracks the detected region corresponding to the person; a prediction unit which predicts whether the tracked person is a new person or an existing person; a region unit which determines whether information of the movement of the person is included in nine regions; a moving object centroid processing unit which generates a connection list for the individual person when the person is recognized as a single person; a movement descriptor unit which generates a descriptor on a per-object basis based on the connection list; and a video search unit which searches for a video by comparing a trajectory input through a query with a trajectory described by the descriptor. Accordingly, provided is a method for searching a video, which is fast and highly accurate.
