摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly glossy thermal fusion thermal transfer recording sheet, and a production method thereof, for forming a highly glossy clear image with high resolution excellent in ink transfer properties, dot reproducibility, print density gradation reproducibility and head abrasion properties in which dot miss is prevented over the entire region of thermal energy being applied to a thermal head, i.e., from a low energy (low density) region to a high energy (high density) region, without staining a ribbon. SOLUTION: The highly glossy thermal fusion thermal transfer recording sheet comprises at least one coating layer provided on a support and the uppermost layer is a recording layer composed of 50-90 pts.wt. of an inorganic pigment, 5-50 pts.wt. of an organic pigment having air gaps, and 10-50 pts.wt. of a binder for 100 pts.wt. of the pigment.
