<p>The toilet seat is actuated by a vibrator such as an eccentric, which can be attached directly to the toilet pan or to a wall and then connected to the seat by a rod. To ensure sufficient freedom of movement of the seat the latter is mounted on rubber-like wedges or rollers on the edge of the toilet pan where it is guided by guide pins and/or guide grooves. The vibrations can be regulated by means of a potentiometer control which is arranged so that the seat can be raised freely with the lid and sits firmly on the edge of the pan. The vibrations are thus produced either directly by an a.c. motor via a transmission system or by an eccentric which is attached to either the motor direct or to the vibrating seat.</p> |
