The specification describes double buckets, which are not capable of being turned over. The double buckets are attached at the circumference of a bucket wheel or bucket drum of a revolving stockpile reclaimer and are effective in picking up material in either direction of rotation. The buckets are provided with scraper blades that are connected to the parallel side walls or partition walls of the buckets. The bucket backplate rotatably supported at the side walls or partition walls by means of a shaft, the bucket backplates are capable of being swung over within the space of the bucket. Thus acting in the same manner for both directions of rotation collected stockpile materials may be carried upward in either direction depending upon the direction of rotation.
