PURPOSE:To suppress the disorder of pages due to operator's misoperation at its minimum by locking automatic recycle original carrying device when the transfer paper is jammed at the operation of a recycle mode. CONSTITUTION:When transfer paper is jammed during the period that the transfer paper whose surface is copied is stored in a both-sided tray 124, a copying machine stops its copying operation and commands the operator to remove the jammed paper. At the starting of copying operation after removing the jammed paper, microcomputer controls the original to be copied. Thereby, an RDF 201 is closed by a solenoid or the like so as not to be opened. At the restart of copying operation, originals are recycled and copying can be started from a prescribed page. When the transfer paper stored in a staple tray 306 is jammed, the RDF 201 is similarly locked. |
