PURPOSE:To accomplish uniform lapping with high accuracy by means of relative slip between a work and a surface grinder by rotating the surface grinder and carriers which hold a plurality of columnar or cylinder works on the grinder in such a way as to be rotatably driven with center at their shaft centers, independently. CONSTITUTION:Carriers 7 are provided in positions on a surface grinder 4 rotated by a motor provided to a main body 3 in such a way that they do not interfered with each other whereby the carriers are rotated by both an internal gear 5 and an external gear 6 which rotate independently each other at the inner and outer sides. And a plurality of work fixtures 8 are provided on the carriers 7 while being inclined to the radiation axis wherein the fixtures 8 are supported by both ends of a gap 10 in such a way that a work 1 is rotatably driven. When the surface grinder 4 and the gears 5 and 6 are rotated with lapping compound fed, the carriers 7 are also rotated whereby the work 1 is rotatably driven with center at its shaft generating relative slip in al directions between the same and the surface grinder 4 whereby a plurality of works is lapped at one time satisfactorily in accomplishing both a fine and a rough degree in roughness. |
