Two or more cylindrical sieve bodies (3), whose surface may be augmented by corrugations, are symmetrically disposed round a central axis (1) and in addition are rotatable about their own axes (2). Raw material, pref. animal farming slurry with high liq. content, is fed into the sieve bases from a co-rotating distributor (5). Inside the sieves may be plates (4) producing radial and axial slurry deflections. Centrifugal force is applied alternately to the front and rear faces of the sieve material, which in one phase therefore collects solids and in a second phase dislodges them from the sieve surface. ADVANTAGE - The continuously operating sepn. provides effective liq. sepn., with min. risk of sieve pore blockage.
