PURPOSE:To provide a sheet discharge device for an image forming device which has a particularly high linear speed or has small spaces between cut sheets, and which prevents adverse effect on the stacking performance by the leading edge of a subsequently discharged sheet interfering with the trailing edge of a precedingly discharged sheet before the brecedingly discharged sheet stacked on a sheet discharge tray. CONSTITUTION:In a sheet discharge path, a sheet overlapping part 3 is provided to put two or more sheets 10a, 10b overlappedly, and such sheets overlapped are discharged to a sheet discharge tray and stacked. A plurality of sheet discharge paths having different length are furnished, and sheets to be discharged are delivered to them in charging from the longest path step by step to the shortest, and thereby the sheets are overlapped in the discharge part and discharged onto the tray while two or more sheets are overlapped. |
