The invention proposes a stool with a seat (5) and a stool leg member (3) standing with a foot (1) on the ground and bearing the seat (5) in order to prevent posture damage caused by sitting incorrectly. The stool leg member (3) above the foot (1) or ground, and the seat (5) above the stool leg member (3) can each be pivoted in a restricted manner about any horizontal axes. Said features force the user constantly to make slight balancing or correcting movements which result in healthy, upright body posture.
