A hatch (12) is provided in the fitting casing (11) and contains an electrically insulated region for receiving the couplings (14) used to connect the conductors in the electric cable (15) supplying power to the light, the conductors connected to the light, and the conductors in an electric cable (16) supplying power to an adjacent light. The fitting has a box-shaped casing for mounting in the roof, in the ceiling or on a line. Holes (17) are provided in the box for the electric cables. An Independent claim is also included for a method of installing these light fittings, which are preferably light tubes. |
