<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To damp vibration over a wide range of vibration frequency without disturbing operability of a pedal device. SOLUTION: When a support arm 3 of the pedal device is vibrated accompanied by vibration of a vehicle, an annular weight 5 stored with a prescribed clearance C inside an annular hollow housing 4 engagedly fixed to the support arm 3, and the housing 4 are vibrated relatively to collide while accompanying sliding friction. The vibration is damped to damp the vibration of the support arm 3 together with the housing 4, by an energy loss accompanied to the sliding friction and the collision between the both. The annular weight 5 and the housing 4 collide each other therein via a cushioning member 5C, and the member 5C prevents a collision noise from being generated by the collision of the both.</p> |
