<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent environmental pollution caused by white plume emission and offensive order of combustion gas discharged from an exhaust-gas filter, when it is heated for regeneration. <P>SOLUTION: The regeneration device for an exhaust-gas filter is provided with the exhaust-gas filter 110 placed in an exhaust-gas path 210 of an internal combustion engine 200 to capture particulate matters contained in the exhaust gas, and a regeneration heater 120 provided around the filter. In regeneration of the filter, the operation of the engine is stopped, air is supplied into the inlet side of the filter, and the filter is heated by heating the regeneration heater, and the combustion gas is discharged to the outside through the exhaust-gas path from the filter outlet.
