A method and an apparatus for providing an interactive annunciator in a mobile communication terminal are provided to enable a focus to be moved between the annunciators to display condition information or menu items of the mobile communication corresponding to the focused annunciator, thereby enabling a user to conveniently check more exact condition information of the mobile communication terminal and easily access the menu items. A method for providing an interactive annunciator in a mobile communication terminal comprises the following steps of: moving a focus to a specific annunciator of an annunciator region when a first key button, for moving the focus to the annunciator region displayed on an upper end of a standby screen of an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) unit, is inputted(S200); displaying a menu item or condition information of the mobile communication terminal, corresponding to the focused annunciator(S210); moving the focus between the annunciators when a second key button for moving the focus between the annunciators is inputted, and displaying the menu item or the condition information of the mobile communication terminal, corresponding to the focused annunciator(S220,S230); moving the focus between the menu items when a third key button for moving the focus between the menu items is inputted(S240,S250); and performing a function corresponding to the specific menu item when the specific menu item is focused and a specific key button is inputted(S260,S270).
