A passive type fuel cell system is provided to suppress the decrease of current density of a fuel cell system and to improve the durability of a fuel cell system. A passive type fuel cell system comprises an electricity generation part which comprise an anode, a cathode exposed to air, and a membrane interposed between the anode and the cathode; and a plate material which is faced with the cathode, wherein the plate material has a punched hole having a diameter of 3-6 mm. Preferably the ratio of the hole in the plate material is 10-80 % to the total area of the plate material, and the plate material is made of a conductive material. Preferably the plate material is a current collector. |
