A lighting probing apparatus for an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to connect a probe unit with an LCD panel through a probe needle formed by performing direct wire bonding to a bump of a driving chip, thereby removing the necessity for a special sub board where the driving chip is mounted for connection with the LCD panel, and accordingly minimizing temporal and economical loss required for manufacture of the sub board. A lighting probing apparatus for an LCD comprises a work table, and a probe unit(500). On the work table, an LCD panel(100) to be probed is placed. The probe unit comprises a driving chip(510) for applying a driving signal to the LCD panel, and probe needles(521,522). The probe needle is formed by bonding conductive wires to a bump(511,512) of the driving chip. The work table comprises first and second tables. The first table has a mount unit where the LCD panel is placed, and has a receiving unit where a first polarizing plate and a lighting unit are arranged in a lower part of the mount unit. The second table has an opening part for exposing a display unit of the LCD panel. On the second table, a second polarizing plate is mounted. |
