PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wall assembly with a thin-type display screen, incorporating an image display function and used for a wall of a building or an interior partition or the like, and a building using the wall assembly. SOLUTION: A display panel 30 is retained in this wall assembly 1 with a display screen, the display screen 31 of the display panel 30 is exposed through an opening portion 11 formed in the wall surface of the wall assembly 1 with the display screen, and the display panel 30 is integrally incorporated in a mode of being embedded in the wall assembly 1 with the display screen. The wall assembly 1 with the display screen is constructed by fixing a front side wall plate 10 and a back side wall plate 20 at a predetermined space using a fixing member 40, and fixing a retaining member 50 for retaining the display panel 30 between the front side wall plate 10 and the back side wall plate 20. A circuit board 35 loaded with a circuit for conducting the processing related to the display of the display panel 30 is disposed side by side with the display panel 30 with respect to the direction along the wall surface of the front side wall plate 10.
