PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater that can use hot water present within piping when heating means is stopped and that has high thermal efficiency.SOLUTION: A water heater includes: hot water supply setting means that enables a user to set hot water supply amount, etc.; heating means for heating water passing through piping to a set temperature; flow rate detection means for detecting a hot water supply flow rate; flow rate adjustment means that can adjust the hot water supply flow rate; and control means that can control the heating means and the flow rate adjustment means. The control means calculates an integrated value of the hot water supply flow rate flowing out from the heating means on the basis of the detection value obtained by the flow rate detection means, and controls the flow rate adjustment means so that the heating by the heating means is stopped when the integrated value of the hot water supply flow rate reaches hot water supply amount A-B obtained by subtracting a predetermined value B from set hot water amount A set by the hot water supply setting means and so that the detection value obtained by the flow rate detection means becomes zero when the integrated value of the hot water supply flow rate reaches the set hot water amount A set by the hot water supply setting means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
