A system and a method for predicting lifetime of an OLED display device indicate an unfolded exponential function which optimizes the distribution of measurement brightness data measured as time passes, calculate a point when brightness decreases to half of an initial brightness data by the exponential function, predict expectancy lifetime of a light emitting device or a display device, display the expected lifetime to shorten a lifetime predicting time of the display device to commercialize practical products, and obtain reliable lifetime predicting data improving lifetime predicting accuracy.
