PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convert pixel density with optional conversion magnification without increasing the scale of the hardware configuration. SOLUTION: A control section 101 checks whether or not designated conversion magnification is within a range converted by one processing by a density calculation section 105, and when the conversion is available, the conversion magnification is given as it is to the density calculation section 105, where conversion is made at once. When the designated conversion management is outside the range able to be converted by one processing of the density calculation section 105, pluralities of conversion magnification ways possible for the density calculation section 105 are combined and equivalent conversion magnification is obtained. For example, in the case that the conversion processing means is able to conduct processing by conversion magnification of 50% or over and conversion magnification of 35.5% is designated, a combination of 71% and 50% as an example is selected. The 1st conversion magnification of 71% of the combination is designated at a first time for the density conversion processing of a received image signal. The 2nd conversion magnification of 50% of the combination is designated at a second time for the density conversion processing of the image signal for the processing result of the 1st time. |
