PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drain generation preventer for preventing drain, causing deterioration of function or failure of an exhaust fan, from standing on the exhaust fan in a heat treatment furnace incorporating a heat storage burner. SOLUTION: In a heat treatment furnace incorporating at least two heat storage burners having an exhaust system connected with an exhaust fan, a bypath 81 is extended between a flue 61 for releasing exhaust gas generated in the furnace and an exhaust system on the upstream side of the exhaust fan 51 and fixed with an on/off valve 91. Before the heat storage burners 21, 22 are burnt alternately and the exhaust gas is sucked by the exhaust fan through the exhaust system, the on/off valve fixed to the bypath is opened and the exhaust gas generated in the furnace is supplied from the flue to the exhaust fan through the bypath thus preheating the exhaust fan. |
