Tubing made of a heat deformable material and having moulded near the end one full flange and one subsidiary flange or collar of petals which are subsequently deformed to protrude along the tube axis. If the tube end is subsequently heated, the deformed petals can revert towards the stable flange. If the tube body is subsequently heated, it can contract to a shrunk fit on the core cable. Both flanges and tube may be lined with a sealant. Esp. for forming a self-sealing joint on passing through a partition and to locally anchor and seal the core cable. |
