This suspension device has base plates (5) and at least one longitudinal girder section (7) which can be connected to said base plates. Furthermore, the suspension device is provided with a two-piece holder (9, 10) surrounding the longitudinal girder section (7) at discrete points and connecting it (7) to the base plates (5). The base plates (5) are provided with elongated holes used for adaptation. The holder halves can be screwed and/or clamped together. The screw connection (25, 28, 29) at the same time serves as a safety feature to prevent lifting of the longitudinal girder section (7) and withdrawal from the suspension means (17, 18) of the base plate (5). Fixing lugs (20) secure the holder (9, 10) in the suspension device against longitudinal displacement; they (20) form parts of the holder (9, 10). <IMAGE>
