The cap (1) having a U-shaped cap edge flange (4) and the container (3) having an edge ring (11) forming the filling edge (2) each contain elements (10, 17) of a closure arrangement which are arranged at identical intervals on their periphery and interact with one another. The respective elements on the container are columns (17) moulded onto the edge ring (11) with a sawtooth serration (18). Moulded onto the cap edge (4') is a blocking member arrangement, consisting of a receiving housing (20) and a locking member (22) which is linked pivotably thereto, is held therein and bears locking tabs (29) which engage in the serration (18) when the cap is fitted onto the container. As a result, secure fastening of the cap on the container is achieved. In order to remove the cap from the container, the locking tabs (29) are withdrawn from the receiving housings by hand, thus cancelling the locking. By placing the locking tabs (29) back into the receiving housings (20) when the cap has been removed, said cap is ready for use for a further secured closing operation. <IMAGE>
