The suspension gear (4) which is attached to a hook (2) and hook bow (3) has a lashing element (5) which encloses the load (L), as well as a suspension gear lock (6). One end (5b) of the lashing element (5) is inserted into the latter and locked. The suspension gear lock (6) contains a latch (15) which can be pivoted about an eccentrically arranged axle (14) and maintains the locked position under its own weight (G). The latch has an arm (20). The latter strikes against a fixed unlocking element (21), as a result of which it carries out a pivoting movement during the continued movement of the suspension gear. In this way, a projection which locks the end (5b) of the lashing element is raised. The end (5b) can move out of the suspension gear lock (6) and the latching element releases the load (L) under the load's own weight. With this suspension gear and suspension gear lock, the load (L) can be unloaded without the circulating carrying and traction cable (1) of the cable way, and thus the entire suspension gear, having to be brought to a stop. <IMAGE>
