PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition improved in impact resistance without impairing its heat resistance, also good in melt fluidity, suitable for applications such as electrical and electronic products by incorporating polyphenylene sulfide with an epoxy group-contg. olefin polymer and specified elastomer. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be obtained by incorporating (A) 50-99wt.% of polyphenylene sulfide put to deionized treatment through such a process as acid treatment, hot water treatment for organic solvent washing with a total of 50-1wt.% of (B) an epoxy group-contg. olefin polymer prepared from B1: 60-99.5wt.% of an alpha-olefin and B2: 40-0.5wt.% of an alpha,beta-unsaturated acid glycidyl ester, and (C) an elastomer free from epoxy and acid anhydride groups (e.g., ethylene-propylene copolymer, ethylene-butene copolymer). |
