FIELD: process of manufacture of milling cutter for machining, preferably of metals. SUBSTANCE: milling cutter body has a fastening part for attachment to the rotating drive, and a part intended for accommodation of cutting plates, which on periphery is furnished with several detachable cutting plates, each cutting plate is fastened in a seat, which at least partially is located on the peripheral section of the milling cutter part intended for arrangement of cutting plates. Each seat for the plate has a lower bearing surface and a lateral supper, having at least one lateral bearing surface, chip pocket located in front of each plate seat in the direction of rotation. The advantage of the invention is in the fact that the lateral support of the plate seat at least partially is made by means of a ball end milling cutter. EFFECT: increased number of plate seats in the body for each given diameter as as compared with the known bodies of milling cutters, effective use of minimum of tools. 5 cl, 5 dwg |
