The seat, rear wheel and motor are carried on a generally vertical main chassis member. This continues forward as a hollow rectangular horizontal frame (2c), the front of which supports the front suspension and handlebar tube. A rectangular compartment (6i), containing the motor control and other circuitry, is fixed (B4, 62a) in the frame from below. The battery tray (64) rests on the control compartment cover (63), and, with its own cover (65), is fixed (B5, 65a) in the frame from above. The position of the e.g. 5 component batteries (Ba) is defined by partitioning ribs on the tray and under the cover. |
