Disclosed is a catalyst for olefin polymerization which is composed of a powder solid catalyst component (A) for olefin polymerization which is obtained by co-pulverization of a magnesium halogen compound (a) and a titanium halogen compound (b), and an organic aluminum compound (B) represented by the following general formula: R1 rAlQ3-r. The powder solid catalyst component (A) has a titanium content in the solid content of 6-15% by weight, an average particle diameter of 1-200 µm, and a repose angle of 20-60 degrees. When polymerization of an olefin is performed in the presence of this catalyst, an olefin polymer having a high bulk density can be obtained with high yield.
