PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving assisting device capable of assisting eco-driving in which a consumption amount of drive energy is suppressed while considering an effect on a following vehicle.SOLUTION: A driving assisting device enables a travel speed pattern for eco-driving to be changed according to the presence of a following vehicle, peripheral road environment, or the like. In short, in a case of a long constant speed travel section at a low-speed, a recommended speed is corrected to be trapezoidal pattern. By increasing the recommended speed, duration of a constant speed travel section at a low speed is avoided. Since increase of travel time is suppressed, occurrence of traffic jam is suppressed, relaxing (reducing) bad effect on a following vehicle such as driver's getting impatient in a following vehicle and degrading of traffic stream. |
