1290085 Photographic processing apparatus KALLE AG 3 Aug 1970 [4 Aug 1969] 37322/70 Heading G2A A printing plate is accommodated within a holder 20 which is movable between a first position in which it is immersed in developer liquid in an upright developing trough 9 and a second position in which it is raised out of the trough, both positions being slightly tilted from the upright, counterweights 19 attached to the holder by chains 18 holding the holder and plate in the second position when free and stationary, the holder and plate being arrested in the first position by electromagnetically releasable arresting means. The arresting means consists of a rubber pad fastened to an electromagnet which immobilizes one of the counterweights when the holder is in the first position. A lid 22 having a rubber washer is provided at the upper end of the plate holder to seal the trough when the holder is in the first position. A manually operated locking lever (38) Fig. 4 (not shown) is also provided to lock the holder in the first position. |
