The machine mixes dry constructional materials, e.g. concrete constituents, with water. It has a motor-driven shaft in a vertical or inclined housing, with a number of round discs at intervals, each with vanes at least on the top, an annular gap being left between each disc and the housing for the material to flow through. At this discs (32,34,36,38) location the housing (10) is of figure-8 section, containing two parallel shafts (28,30), each with one or more discs with vanes (40,42) and driven in synchronism. The centre distance between the shafts is less than the sum of the radii of the two discs or their vanes, and the discs are offset from each other in the axial direction.
