<p>The invention relates to a method for recognising an individual. A first signal is emitted in the direction of one of his/her arteries, the resulting Doppler signal is detected with the aid of a sensor (1A), and this Doppler signal is recorded in a memory (23); subsequently, a second signal, substantially identical to the first signal is then emitted in the direction of the same artery, and the resulting Doppler signal is detected with the aid of a sensor (1), means (22) are used to compare the form of this second Doppler signal with the form of the Doppler signal previously stored, resulting from the first emission, and the individual is recognised if the forms of the two signals correspond. <IMAGE></p> |
