<p>PURPOSE:To improve a vertical and a horizontal resolution keeping a communicatability to an existing TV signal by modulating the horizontal high frequency band and the diagonal high frequency band of the luminance signal and the horizontal high frequency band and the vertical high frequency band of the chrominance signal of a sequential scanning signal by a three dimensional orthogonal balanced modulation, and multiplexing them after frequency-shifting. CONSTITUTION:Inputted R, G, B signals are converted into Y, I, Q signals by a YIQ conversion circuit 7 after passing through an A/D conversion circuits 4, 5, 6 and are divided into YL, YX,... etc., by a horizontal and a vertical LPF, BPF. An XY signal is frequency-shifted in a horizontal direction by a modulation circuit 18 etc., and a YX' signal is obtained after passing through the horizontal and the vertical LPF, BPF, and a QH' signal is obtained from the QH signal. The XY' signal is divided into two parts by the vertical LPF, BPF, and they are made to be signals YH1, 2 by the addition circuits 29, 34, and further come to be signals YH', C'. A motion mode and signal multiplexing circuit 61 multiplexes each signal, and a field code multiplexing and NTSC signal conversion circuit 63 converts the said output into the NTSC signal, and a D/A conversion circuit 64 outputs an analog NTSC signal.</p> |
