PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make equipment compact to markedly reduce an installation space and equipment cost and to efficiently remove a contaminant such as an SS component, a color component or the like to enhance the quality of treated water. SOLUTION: A method for separation by flocculation using an immersion membrane is constituted so that an inorg. flocculant is supplied to raw water flowing through a supply pipe 11 to form flocs and air is subsequently supplied into the supply pipe 11 to be bubbled toward an immersion membrane unit 14 within a treated water tank 12 from the supply pipe 11. Further, flocs are filtered by the immersion membrane unit 14 to obtain treated water.
