<p>PURPOSE:To exactly detect a hot body in proper entering or exiting motion over a wide range by providing a high-temperature area hot body detection processing means and a low-temperature hot body detection processing means individually. CONSTITUTION:A temperature detection part 6 detects ambient temperature. When the detected ambient temperature is lower than, for example, the temperature of a human body, a temperature/voltage conversion part 7, a reference voltage 8 and a comparison part 9 execute discriminate and the output of a low-temperature range human body detection processing part 5 is selected and led out by a high-temperature/ low-temperature range output selection processing part 11. If background temperature varies in this low-temperature area, the output of an infrared detection part 1 varies and the threshold value of the processing part 5 also varies according to the variation. Further, when the hot body enters a monitor area, the output level of a detection part 1 is further added to the background output and the processing part 5 exactly discriminate whether or not there is the hot body. When the ambient temperature is higher than the temperature of the human body, the temperature is discriminated and the processing part 11 selects the output of a high-temperature area hot body. If the hot body enters the monitor area at this time, the output level of the detection part 1 falls below the background output.</p> |
