PURPOSE:To mold a composite member simply by a method in which a pair of metallic plates are simultaneously press-worked in a separated state, and after the space between both plates to be molded has been filled with synthetic resin layer, the post treatment of the gate for injecting synthetic resin of the object to be molded is carried out. CONSTITUTION:An intermediate mold 30 is put oppositely between a stationary mold 10 and a movable mold 20, and the plates 44, 44 made of metallic plates to be molded are respectively arranged therebetween. Next, the stationary, the movable and the intermediate molds 10, 20, 30 are simultaneously clamped. When the press-working of each plate 44, 44 to be molded is finished, the molds are opened, and the intermediate mold 30 is retracted in vertical direction, and then the stationary mold 10 and the movable mold 20 are clamped. Then, a cavity 40 is formed between the mold and the worked plates 44, 44 to be molded, and molten resin is injected into said cavity through the injection path 12 of a sprue 11. After the process of dwelling and cooling has been finished, a composite material is taken out and residual resin 64 is folded, whereby the composite material of sandwich structure having a through hole in gate part is molded. |
