PURPOSE:To prevent the reduction of the intake charging efficiency by blowing the traveling air toward the rear side of a carburetor through an air introducing passage by forming an expanded part expanded in the longitudinal direction on the outside at the part of a cowling which is positioned on the side of the cylinder of an engine and forming the air introducing passage by installing an inner plate on the inside of the expanded part. CONSTITUTION:A motorcycle engine 3 is mounted on the front lower part of a frame 1, and a radiator and an nil cooler 5 are installed on the front side of the cylinder head 4 part of the engine 3. In this case, at the part positioned on the side of the cylinder of the engine 3 and on the underside of an air discharge port 7 on the left and right side surfaces of a cowling 2, an opened port 9 is formed at the front edge, and an expanded part 10 which is slightly expanded in the longitudinal direction is formed outside. Inside the expanded part 10, an inner plate 11 is installed by rivets, and an sir introducing passage 12 is formed between the expanded part 10 of the cowling 2. The rear part of the inner plate 11 is formed into c cylindrical form, and bent inwardly, and opened to the rear side of a carburetor 13. Accordingly, the suction of air into the carburetor 13 is improved, and the reduction of the charging efficiency of the air is prevented. |
