PURPOSE:To prevent map scrolling from stopping temporarily when map data are updated during location and to accurately select new updated map data by providing a means which predicts updated map data and indicates the update of the predicted map data. CONSTITUTION:The updated map data prediction part 5 is provided between a current position arithmetic part 2 and an updated map data selection part 4. This updated map data prediction part 5 predicts the new updated map data by using road azimuth data and road length data regarding a road at the periphery of a current position calculated by the current position arithmetic part 2 among road azimuth data and road length data included in road link data in a map data storage part 1, and instructs the updated map data selection part 4 to update data into the predicted map data. |
