<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a magnetic tape as a recording medium from being damaged during the loading time and the tape traveling time. CONSTITUTION:A dummy tape 50 is provided under such a state in a magnetic tape cassette 20 that the tape 50 is wound around tape guides 21 and 51 and a guide pin 52, and is always tensed by a spring 54. At the time of loading, this dummy tape 50 and the magnetic tape 1 are brought one upon the other in double layers and drawn out of the magnetic tape cassette 20 via guides 6, 7, and 10, and at least in a damageable part of the magnetic tape 1 during the tape traveling time, the magnetic tape 1 and the dummy tape 50 are disposed to be capable of traveling in double layers.</p> |
