FIELD: chemistry of polymers, more particularly preparation of vinylidene fluoride-tetrafluoroethylene copolymers having hardness, strength and heat and corrosion resistance and high dielectric properties. SUBSTANCE: copolymers are prepared by copolymerization of mixture of monomers introduced as mixture comprising vinylidene fluoride, tetrafluoroethylene and triethylene amine and their molar ratio of (5-20):1:(0.005-0.010). Process if carried out in the presence of initiator such as alkali metal or ammonium persulfate and molecular weight regulator such as primary lower alcohol.
