PURPOSE: A lid is provided to obtain high vacuum force by reducing energy consumption and to vacuumize a container by sucking out air inside the container. CONSTITUTION: A lid(1) of a vacuum container comprises a main body(3) combined with the container and contained a protrusion(31) having a sucking inlet(32) and a sucking outlet(33) to be combined with a head(4); the head(4) installed an air intake device(7) by forming an intake port(47) to be connected through the sucking inlet(32) and combined with a check valve(46); a pumping plate(5) to form a pumping space by installing between the head(4) and the main body(3) and containing a spring(8); and a cover(6) combined with the pumping plate(5). The pumping plate(5) is hung in a protruding sill(36) of the main body(3) by forming a hanging protrusion(52). A fine gap is formed between an inner face(51) of the pumping plate(5) and a recessed portion(42) of the head(4) from the pumping space. An O ring(43) is embedded in the recessed portion(420. Air in the container is sucked into the pumping space and discharged through a discharging port(44) by opening and closing the gap through the pumping plate(5).
