PURPOSE: A wormwood bar carbonized for a cauterizing device and a carbonized wormwood bar radiating far infrared light are provided which do not give off smoke when being burned and emit a lot of far infrared light when being burned. CONSTITUTION: In the wormwood bar for a cauterizing device, the wormwood bar is a carbonized wormwood bar(10). A far infrared radiating composition layer(20) is formed on the surface of the carbonized wormwood bar(10). The far infrared radiating composition layer(20) is made of a mixture of one or two selected from the group of gem powder, loess powder, germanium powder, and zeolite powder having an average particle size of 53micrometer to 37micrometer.
