<p>So-called spray condensers can be used for recovering heat energy from flue gases, the flue gases being simultaneously scrubbed (Fig.1). The heat energy is recovered from the middle part 12 of small liquid droplets, which are formed in the nozzle 11 by means of the circulating pump 26. The nozzle draws in the flue gases via the connection 1 to the cyclone separator 2 incorporated into the top of the condenser. The inner pipe 6 and intermediate pip of the separator are removable via the cover 3. The bottom part 17 is filled with sludge water. Above this is a horizontal pipe 13 for gas/liquid separation. The pipe is provided with a tapered connection to the droplet separator 15 and the outlet 16. A heat exchanger 18, which has a cupola-shaped top and opening at the bottom, is immersed in the sludge water for recovery of the heat energy. The base of the condenser can be drained at the outlet 22. <IMAGE></p> |
