Box supporting board production process - has conveyors feeding boards and sides to slewing and nailing station

As the main part of the board lies in a horizontal position a narrow and a wide side-piece are delivered to it and set in vertical positions and simultaneously slid together. The three components are nailed together and the assembly slewed through 180 deg. to allow the remaining two side pieces to be delivered and nailed in place. There can be three chain conveyors converging (20, 50, 80) at right angles to each other on the slewing station (10), delivering the side-pieces and the main parts of the boards (P) to it, while a discharge conveyor is provided for the finished articles (100), with a nailing station (101). Pairs of power-driven forks dispense the components from the various stacks onto the conveyors delivering them to the slewing station.
